LLEP Chair Welcomes Creation of Jobs as £9m SportPark 4 Tops Out

SportPark’s new fourth pavilion has been topped out as completion of the £9m development nears completion.

LLEP Interim Chair Andy Reed OBE spoke at an informal ceremony marking the latest milestone in the development of the Loughborough campus.

The 2,000 sq m four-storey pavilion expands the award-winning SportPark development at the Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park (LUSEP).

The highly sustainable building – built to Passivhaus Classic Accreditation standards to reduce CO2 emissions and scheduled for completion at the end of the year – will directly create 165 jobs and induce 157 more in the wider economy.

SportPark 4 is supported by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) with a £6m allocation from the Getting Building Fund (GBF).
