Director Andy Reed joined the Christians in Politics Infleuence Tour roadshow at Openheaven Church on Sunday evening

Andy spoke about his experiences in Parliament and how faith interacts in the Public Sqauare in the UK.

Andy said “The role of Faith in the public square is an important topic still. I have explained that the Labour Party owes more to Methodism than Marxism and therefore we have to work out how faith fits in what is increasingly becoming a secular society. There is a way for it to fit, but both Faith leaders, believers and atheists have to work this through to a mature conclusion. It cannot be squeezed out of the public discourse but faith also has to earn its right to be heard - it should no longer be privileged by its historical links through the Church if England as this only reflects part of the Faith Community”
