🗣️The programme will support 500 socio-economically disadvantaged girls through sector internships to help boost confidence and enhance their confidence to move into key growth sectors in the local economy - actively challenging stereotypes… What a great introduction from Gosia (Malgorzata) Khrais, BSc (Hons), PGDip, CQI who made the case for smashing some stereotypes in the sector
💪🏼 We ramain really proud of the work of the Leicester and Leicestershire Careers Hub led by Gerarde Manley and his team. It’s always good to see Leiecstershire as one of only 9 hubsq to be a trailblazer delivering this initiative.
🎓Life sciences remains one of our key sectors in the sub region for economic growth. It’s a £110bn industry employing over 350,000 people in the UK. I challenged local business in these high tech/ value sectors to play their part in delivering inclusive growth in a meaningful way. Programmes like this will help our next generation make better and different choices based on improving chances and enhancing self confidence.
