Our Director Andy Reed was delighted to present the CIMSPA Workforce Development Award at Thursday’s Sporta Awards evening.

Held at the historic ballroom at Sheffield City Hall, the event took place alongside the Sporta AGM. Sporta is a membership association that represents cultural and leisure trusts and social enterprises throughout the UK. The awards ceremony showcased the achievements of leisure and culture trusts, and the positive contribution made by Sporta members to the health and wellbeing of local communities.

Over 12 categories the awards highlighted the broad range of capabilities and innovative projects provided by trusts, giving all members the opportunity to highlight one or more areas of their organisation’s work. They included recognition for: Engaging Inactive People, Successful Partnerships, Social Enterprise Improvement and Workforce Development.

Overall there were more than 100 entries however it was GLL who scooped the CIMSPA Workforce Development Award for their fantastic management academy created to develop new career pathways.
