Speaking to delegates he outlined the recruitment process undertaken by sports bodies and what to expect as part of the culture of sports boards.
The Leaderboard programme is part of the work SajeImpact has been doing with Sporting Equals to ensure BAME candidates can be ‘Board ready’ when opportunities arise as part of the drive to greater diversity in the sector. Director Andy Reed joined the Christians in Politics Infleuence Tour roadshow at Openheaven Church on Sunday evening
Andy spoke about his experiences in Parliament and how faith interacts in the Public Sqauare in the UK.
Andy said “The role of Faith in the public square is an important topic still. I have explained that the Labour Party owes more to Methodism than Marxism and therefore we have to work out how faith fits in what is increasingly becoming a secular society. There is a way for it to fit, but both Faith leaders, believers and atheists have to work this through to a mature conclusion. It cannot be squeezed out of the public discourse but faith also has to earn its right to be heard - it should no longer be privileged by its historical links through the Church if England as this only reflects part of the Faith Community”
The new world class facility was added to Loughborough University this week with the opening of the Elite Athlete Centre and Hotel.
“Over the 25 years I have been able to help in one way or another to develop the University into a World Class elite sports environment and so it is great to see the development continue. Anybody knows you can't sit back - continual improvement is necessary in the coaching as well as the facilities.
“ As usual the event was an opportunity to showcase the growing importance of the Sports Economy in Leicestershire and a great chance to catch up with so many friends at the opening and Hall of Fame inductions!
A debate about sporting integrity between young people and representatives from UNICEF, UK Anti-Doping and the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport will take place at Loughborough University next week.

Director Andy Reed will be at the Leicestershire & Rutland CSP Conference this week delivering a summary of the last years progress, interviewing Leicestershire BBC Unsung Hero of the Year and delivering a Workshop.
Andy said “fortunately I have not lost my passion for the work of The CSP and was more than happy to help out again this year. Whilst I have stepped down from the Board I decided it was a good way to volunteer in different ways. I have been concentrating on the Leics Sports economy as part of my work on the LLEP too. I firmly believe that we all need to work together and Sports Businesses have a vital role to play in driving up levels of PA as well as delivering a stronger & healthier economy.
SajeImpact Director Andy Reed was at amongst the guests at the Sunday Times #SWOTY tonight as the awards for 2018 were celebrated

It was great for example to see England Netball lift the team trophy and Diner Asher-Smith crowned as Sports Woman of the year.
