After another busy but productive year SajeImpact will be closed today until Monday 6th January 2020.
“We would like to thank everybody who has worked with us in 2019. It has been another great year for us and our partners and this is only possible because we get to choose to work with great people who share our vision to have meaningful impact on our communities.
“Watch out for further news in 2020 as SajeImpact celebrates its 10th Anniversary and change of pace for its second decade!”
Director Andy Reed helped launch a Commonwealth Games Procurement event for Leicestershire Businesses at MIRA Technology Centre this week. Learning from the 2002 London Games, Leicestershire & Rutland Sport teamed up with the LLEP and Chamber of Commerce to put on the event for local companies interested in securing work from Birmingham 2022. Over 76 Leicestershire companies won over 176 contracts in 2012 worth over £100m. “I’d like to see Leicestershire companies do as well out of the 2022 Games as we did from London. By being proactive we can make sure we share the knowledge and experience through these events. We are building a sports business network across the County to make sure we all encourage each other and build a strong local business base.
Disabled people are twice as likely to be inactive. At Activity Alliance, we believe that everybody has the right to be active. We also believe that the 12 December General Election is a perfect opportunity for political parties to commit to giving disabled people the same opportunities to live full and active lives.
Activity Alliance is determined to ensure that there is an increased policy focus on disabled people’s inclusion in sport and active recreation. Since we formed as a charity more than 20 years ago, we have helped to deliver significant change. But there is much still to do and never has there been a better time to make the step change that disabled people need to see.
Andy Reed today hosted an event at Loughborough University Sport Park as part of the Leicestershire Business Festival in partnership with LRS, LATI In Charnwood and Loughborough University.
As part of the LLEP Strategy Sports Innovation and tech are recognised as a growth sector to be encouraged in and around Loughborough given its global reputation for sport.
The Sports Business Network has emerged out of this work and hopes to grow as many of the thousands employed in the sports sector across Leicestershire work and collaborate together to encourage business development.
It felt like a step back in time - Friday constituency days opening things! But really pleased to see the completion of Apollo Court in Coalville creating much needed space for local businesses to grow. Thanks to Leicestershire County Council and LLEP for making the funding available. Delighted as Deputy Chair of the LLEP to take part and see what has been achieved. Having started my work life in Economic Development it’s good to see the partnerships locally still helping local business. But so much more to do across our County! hashtag#llep hashtag#business hashtag#economicdevelopment hashtag#sajeimpact Credit Alistair Langham for the photo. Always a great service!

“We are delighted to invite you to Groop’s Annual Conference, which is taking place at Baden Powell House in London, on 21st November 2019.”
Our conference will explore the culture of volunteering in the UK, and how we can create change within the system.
We want to help organisations who work with volunteers to ensure they keep up with modern lifestyles and benefit from technological developments.
Hosted by Andy Reed, OBE, Director at Saje Impact & Founder of The Sports Think Tank, we have an impressive line-up of expert speakers from a broad range of backgrounds.
We’ll be welcoming DCMS, Scouts, Royal Voluntary Service, Sported, and Essex Local Authority, to explore the culture of volunteering in the UK.
As a small business we try our best to look after the health and well-being of our team. After all that’s what we help others achieve. So as the Summer Holiday comes around for 2019 we have decided to really mean it when we say We are Out of Office.
See you all in Early August.
A new exciting campaign from Activity Alliance is calling time on negative perceptions about disability, inclusion and sport and asks – who says?
For far too long disabled people have faced misconceptions and presumptions on what is and isn’t possible, including in sport. Leading national charity, Activity Alliance, wants to move the conversations on, open people’s minds and shift out-dated views on disability. Who says? gives positive evidence that replaces these negative ideas.
Launched on 15 July, who says? was created in response to the charity’s recent research, which explored non-disabled people’s attitudes on inclusive activity. The findings show a lack of understanding could be causing long-lasting barriers for disabled people, leading to inactivity. For the least active audience in our country, people’s attitudes can make or break activity experiences.
